Bassinets
Eleven bassinets compared by how little floor space they take — folded size, footprint, and whether they stand on the floor or swivel over the bed. Real products, price bands, no invented ratings.

| Dream On Me Karley | Compact | $ | Double mesh | Double mesh sides and a low frame. The cheapest way to get a genuinely small footprint. | Check Price |
| Munchkin Brica Travel Pod | Smallest | $ | Travel pod | A travel pod rather than a full bassinet — the smallest thing here, for overnight trips. | Check Price |
| YADAQE Baby Cradle 3-in-1 | Compact | $ | 3-in-1 | Converts as the baby grows, so it stays useful longer than a single-purpose bassinet. | Check Price |
| Delta Children Sweet Dreams | Standard | $$ | Airflow mesh | Full-size bassinet with airflow mesh — a middle option when the room is tight but not tiny. | Check Price |
| Evolur Lullaby with Wheels | Standard | $$ | Wheels | Wheels and an adjustable base. The pick when you need to move it between rooms daily. | Check Price |
| BCOL 3-in-1 Bedside | Standard | $$ | Bedside | Bedside co-sleeper with a drop side, for small bedrooms where a full bedside sleeper will not fit. | Check Price |

In a small room the constraint is rarely the bassinet’s sleep area — it is the legs. A four-legged floor stand needs clearance on all four sides. A swivel that mounts over the bed needs almost none. A travel pod folds into a bag the size of a duffel. Those three approaches solve the same problem in completely different ways, and which one you want depends on which dimension is tight.
A swivel bassinet clamps to the bed frame or stands on a slim base and rotates over the mattress. It uses effectively none of the floor. The trade-off is the price — these are the most expensive option here — and that they need a bed to attach to or sit beside.
The middle option: a smaller sleep area on a narrower frame, often with mesh sides so you can see through it. Fits beside a bed in a room where a full-size bassinet would block the door.
These collapse flat and pack into a carry bag. They are the smallest option by a wide margin and the cheapest, with the trade-off being a shorter usable life since babies outgrow them quickly.
Check three distances in the room rather than the bassinet’s listed dimensions: the gap beside the bed, the swing of any door it might block, and the path you walk at night. A bassinet that fits the gap but blocks the door does not fit.
Whatever you choose, the sleep surface matters more than the frame. Use the mattress the manufacturer supplies for that model, and follow their assembly instructions. If you have questions about your baby’s sleep, ask your pediatrician.
Price bands rather than live prices — these change often and a stale figure helps nobody.
A mini crib is a small permanent crib with a rigid frame and a mattress; a bassinet is a shallower, shorter-term sleep space that is usually lighter and often portable. A mini crib lasts longer and takes slightly more floor space. Which suits you depends on how long you want the item to stay.
A portable one you can move or fold — either a folding travel pod or a compact model with wheels. In a living room you usually want something that comes out of the way in the evening rather than staying in place all day.
Bassinets are typically around 30 to 36 inches long and 15 to 18 inches wide inside. Manufacturers publish the exact internal dimensions for each model — check that rather than relying on a general figure, especially the internal sleep surface size.
